The East Anglian Dating Community

The Dating Community’s mission is to create a space where people can meet like-minded people either on-line or via our get togethers. I appreciate that we are all different and looking for different things. So whatever you’re looking for I’d like to help you create the possibilities to find it. There’s lots of new dating tools out there, but nothing compares to getting to know someone in person. I’d like to take the best of the new ways of dating and combine them with something old and something new. I'll use technology to bring you together online and put on events to help you meet in person.

Like attracts like and with that in mind, you are welcome to join our community if you are accepting of people’s right to show up in the world the way they truly are. If you are honest and respectful within our community. If you are supportive, kind and friendly.

Here’s how it works

Let’s get to know each other a little first! Our online events are a great way to get to know people safely and easily. I'll close entrance to the event after ten minutes and after an introduction from myself, and a mindful exercise, each person will get the chance to share a little about themselves in turn. You'll get up to 5 minutes to say a little about yourself and what you are looking for. There are no questions or feedback from the participants, no one will say who they like, we move straight on afterwards to the next person. Once everyone has shared as little or as much as they wish. The session is closed. Afterwards you’ll receive a feedback form. You’ll be asked about the event and whether or not there is anyone in the chatroom that you’d like to be introduced to. You can tick that you’re open to friendship, or meeting up for a date. If two people match, then I’ll send you through an email introduction and leave you both to it. We'll meet online regularly, so it might take a couple, a little of getting to know each other before they match. So sharing different aspects of yourself each time may be a really great way to increase your chances of finding the person for you.

It's possible that the person you’re looking for knows someone within the room! Don’t worry if the person you want to attract into your life isn’t present. This is a community and with it, our members will be encouraged to tell their friends about that 'great person' they saw at the event the night before and bring them along next time.
